william Shakespeare was born on April 23rd 1564 in Stratford on Avon. He was the third of eight children. He went to the local Grammar school in Stratford.
When he was 18, he married Anne Hathaway.
They had three children.
In London he worked as a writer and an actor. In 1610 he went to Stratford.
Some of his plays are world-famous: Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet.
